Police responding to serious traffic crash at Drayton

Police are investigating the circumstances of a serious traffic crash at Drayton last night.

Just after 6pm, a motorcycle was travelling along the Gore Highway when the rider lost control while attempting to turn a corner.

The 42-year-old male rider was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious internal injuries.

Members of the community rendered first aid to the man prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Paramedics transported the man to Toowoomba Hospital before he was later flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, including those who may have dash cam footage, to come forward.

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
