Police search for two women following armed robbery and stabbing in Ballarat

Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are searching for two women they believe can assist with their enquiries following an alleged armed robbery and stabbing in Ballarat over the weekend.

It is believed two women entered a store on Mair Street and stole a speaker.

They tried to leave the store and were stopped by security and staff before one woman produced a small knife.

She allegedly stabbed the victim before both women fled the scene on foot.

The 28-year-old Darley man, sustained minor injuries to his arm and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Investigators have released images and CCTV footage of two women they believe can assist with their enquiries.
