Police seek help to find man after fail-to-stop crashes in Riverwood

A search is continuing for the driver of a stolen vehicle that was involved in two crashes in Sydney’s south-west yesterday.

About 6.45pm (Tuesday 10 March 2020), officers from Campsie Police Area Command observed a grey Mitsubishi Triton, believed to be stolen, travelling along Kylie Parade, Riverwood.

A pursuit was initiated on Canterbury Road after the vehicle failed to stop, before the Mitsubishi collided with a Toyota Camry, causing it to hit a parked and unoccupied Mercedes Sprinter and tree, on Bonds Road.

The sole occupant of the Toyota was uninjured, but the vehicle sustained significant damage.

Police terminated the pursuit, with the Mitsubishi seen heading south bound on Bonds Road.

Around 7pm, the Mitsubishi was located on Mayfair Crescent in Beverley Hills, where police were told it hit another parked vehicle, before the driver fled on foot.

A search perimeter was established with St George Police Area Command, assisted by the Dog Unit, however the driver was not located.
