Police seek information: Dangerous driving in Coomera, QLD

Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to an alleged dangerous driving incident on the northern Gold Coast this afternoon, March 17.

Police were made aware of a black Suzuki Swift allegedly travelling in a dangerous manner in the vicinity of Dreamworld Parkway in Coomera around 11.30am.

Shortly after midday, the vehicle crashed and came to a stop along Siganto Drive in Helensvale shortly after midday.

Police arrested the driver, a 28-year-old Labrador man, at the scene without further incident. No other motorists were injured as a result of this incident.

Investigations are currently underway into the vehicle’s movements leading up to the crash.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the vehicle, a black Suzuki Swift with a ‘Harley Davidson’ sticker on the back, to come forward.

It is understood to have been travelling along Southport Nerang Road in Southport, Brisbane Road in Biggera Waters, Discovery Drive in Helensvale and Dreamworld Parkway in Coomera shortly before midday.

Anyone with further information about the incident or the driver is also urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
