Police seek information on Aggravated robbery, dangerous driving / crash in Coconut Grove

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a stolen vehicle involved in dangerous driving around Darwin and Palmerston which resulted in a multiple vehicle crash in Coconut Grove earlier this evening.

About 6:10pm, a 2012 white Holden utility HSV with registration CB46NA was stolen from Palmerston. The vehicle was seen driving erratically around Palmerston before heading into the Casuarina area via the Stuart Highway.

Police received reports of the vehicle doing burnouts during this time before crashing into several vehicles at the intersection of McMillans Road and Bagot Road.

Detectives are urging witnesses and anyone with dash-cam footage of this incident to come forward. It is believed there may also be footage of a male fleeing the scene.

A 30-year-old male, believed to be the driver of the stolen vehicle, is in police custody.
