Police seek public assistance after sexual act in front of snorkellers in Manly

Police are appealing for public assistance after reports a man performed a sexual act in front of women snorkelling in Sydney’s Northern Beaches today.

About 10.30am (Saturday 30 May 2020), a group of four women were sitting on the rocks at Cabbage Tree Bay reserve, Manly, when they were approached by an unknown man.

About 11am, two of the women – aged 25 and 29 – entered the water to go snorkelling, when they were approached by the same unknown man.

Police have been told the man exposed himself and performed a sexual act in front of them, before swimming away.

The women notified officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command who attended and commenced a search of the area.

As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, about 178cm tall, of average build, with medium length brown hair.

He was wearing blue/grey board shorts and blue goggles at the time of the incident.
