Police seek witnesses – Serious assault and stolen vehicle at Woree, QLD

Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam vision following a series of incidents resulting in a 93-year old man being assaulted at Woree this morning.

Shortly before 9am a man approached the victim’s metallic 2000 Holden Commodore station wagon (similar to one pictured) parked on Toogood Road.

The man opened the victim’s car door and grabbed him, before dragging him out and along the road.

The 93-year old victim was taken to hospital with leg, neck and facial injuries.

The man then returned and drove off at speed in the man’s Holden Commodore station wagon with Queensland registration 417VFO last seen turning onto Sondrio Street.

The man is described as Caucasian and between 20-30 years of age.

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage to contact police.
