Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a structure fire that occurred in Tennant Creek last night.
At around 1:20am a report was made to police of a toilet block on fire in Peko Park. A few minutes later another report was received of a small rubbish fire at Purkiss Reserve. Nil injuries were reported.
At this stage police have not discounted that both fires were related.
Sergeant Paula Dooley-McDonnel said, “Police and Fire investigators are seeking assistance from anyone who may have information that may help the current investigation. Any persons in the area at the time are strongly encouraged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference number 9758681.”
