Police seek witnesses to Bannockburn collision

Police are investigating a hit run collision in Bannockburn yesterday (24 August).

Investigators have been told two people were travelling in their Commodore sedan on Midland Highway just after midnight.

Just near Scanlon Road a vehicle coming the other way has crossed onto the wrong side of the road and hit the driver’s side of the Commodore.

The offending vehicle did not stop and continued south on Midland Highway at speed.

The Commodore sustained extensive damage and both occupants were taken to hospital with minor physical injuries.

Police located the lid of a silver tool box at the scene which is believed to have been torn off the offending vehicle.

The vehicle investigators are looking for is possibly a 4WD tray ute or small commercial vehicle which will have damage.
