Police seek witnesses to Shepparton incidents

Police are investigating a number of incidents in Shepparton on Saturday, 5 February.

Emergency services were called to Olympic Avenue after reports a woman had been hit by a car and one man had been assaulted around 12.15am.

The woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries where she remains, and one man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Two men and a woman were assisting police with their enquiries but have been released pending further enquiries.

The driver of the vehicle is yet to be located at this stage but a silver Holden Commodore was recovered near the township of Wunghnu.

It is believed that this vehicle may have been involved in the incident.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
