Moe Police are appealing for witnesses, following a two-vehicle collision in Tanjil South this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene along Purvis Road to find two cars had collided, about 4.30pm.
A 59-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have been told the driver of the second vehicle fled on foot and is yet to be located.
Police are urging the driver of the second vehicle to come forward.
