Detectives from the Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man following an armed robbery in Coopers Plains on September 8.
It will be alleged just before 9pm, a 20-year-old man armed attended an Orange Grove Road tobacconist and threatened an employee with a knife before demanding for money.
The staff member complied and was not physically harmed during the incident.
The 20-year-old man left the scene on foot with a quantity of money and was last seen heading south on Orange Grove Road.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a Robertson address on September 9, where a 20-year-old Robertson man was arrested.
The man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
He is due to reappear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, September 11.
