Police update 2: Appeal for information: body located at Kangaroo Point, QLD

Detectives have identified the man found deceased in the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point on Monday morning (September 20).

The death was determined to be non-suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Detectives are appealing for members of the public to check on their friends and relatives as they work to identify a deceased man found in the Brisbane River yesterday morning (September 20).

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately in his late 40s or early 50s, 175cm in height, proportionately built, with short dark hair tinged with grey. He was clean shaven, without tattoos or jewellery.

Detectives are confident someone will know this man, so are asking everyone to check in with any friends, neighbours or relatives who may match the description of this person.

Police are investigating after a man’s body was located around 7.30am today in the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately late 40s-50s, 175cm tall with a proportionate build and short dark hair with a grey tinge. He was clean shaven and without tattoos or jewellery.

Detectives are progressing investigations into the circumstances of the man’s death and are appealing for information regarding his identity.
