Police update 2: Armed robbery charges at Rockhampton

Police have charged an 18-year-old man with multiple offences following investigations into two armed robberies that occurred in Rockhampton.

It will be alleged around 8.30pm on Sunday, November 19, three people threatened a woman with a weapon at a Park Avenue shopping centre before stealing her handbag and vehicle.

It will then be alleged around 1.30am on Monday, November 20, the group attended a service station on the Bruce Highway at Marmor and threatened the attendant with a weapon, demanding cash and cigarettes.

Following investigations, police located and arrested an 18-year-old Koongal man today, November 21.

He has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count of stealing.

He is expected to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on November 22.

Investigations are continuing to identify the locate the other two people involved.
