Police update 2: Renewed appeal after fatal hit and run in Callemondah, QLD

Officers investigating the fatal traffic crash which occurred in Callemondah on Sunday, August 25 are continuing their appealing for witnesses.

Police would like to speak with the driver of a white four-wheel drive station wagon, possibly a GQ Nissan Patrol with a black snorkel on the left-hand side to contact police.

At about 7.00pm on Sunday, August 25 a passing motorist located a man lying in the middle of Red Rover Road.

Upon arrival, police observed the man with multiple serious injuries to his head, torso and limbs.

A 58-year-old man from South Gladstone was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man’s vehicle was located off the road.

Police believe the man may have been walking along the road and struck by a passing vehicle.

Investigators are also appealing for anyone with any information or who was travelling along Red Rover Road between 6:50pm and 7:10pm on Sunday, August 25 to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
