Police update 2: Stolen Dog in Southport, QLD

Queensland Police, working together with their New South Wales Police counterparts, have located a blind Australian Shepherd named Bowie who was stolen from a Southport home on July 5.

Around 10.30am today, New South Wales police intercepted the stolen Hyundai Tucson near Macksville.

A 48-year-old man was taken into custody and Bowie located safe and well in the vehicle.

Bowie has this afternoon been reunited with his family.

Queensland Police investigations are continuing into the break and enter at the Regatta Street house with the man assisting police with their enquiries.
