Police have charged a 35-year-old man following the alleged serious assault of another man at Zillmere.
It is alleged around 4.30am on December 30, there was a disturbance involving two men in the carpark of a unit complex on Duffy Street.
During the incident it is alleged one of the men produced a machete, striking the other man.
The 31-year-old male victim received a deep laceration to his arm and was admitted to hospital.
Detectives arrested the 35-year-old Zillmere man today in Stafford.
He has been charged with acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable and is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
