Police update: Charges – Ram raid – Berrimah

Northern Territory have now charged 3 offenders in relation to multiple property offences across Darwin yesterday.

Multiple vehicles were stolen from across Darwin with a ram raid conducted on a business in Berrimah with a large quantity of weapons stolen.

A tyre deflation device was deployed and 3 males aged, 16, 18 and 19, were subsequently arrested.

The 18-year-old was conveyed to the local clinic for assessment after crashing one of the vehicles.

The 16-year-old was apprehended by the dog operations unit and received minor injuries from a police dog that required treatment in hospital.

Strike Force Trident have now charged an 18-year-old with:

  • Driving, Riding/Using Motor Vehicle Without Consent x 4
  • Theft x 2
  • Damage to Property x 2
  • Breach of Bail x 1
  • Aggravated Burglary – Building x 1
  • Drive Unlicensed x 1
  • Fail to Report a Crash x 1

The 19-year-old was charged with:

  • Driving, Riding/Using Motor Vehicle Without Consent x 4
  • Aggravated Burglary – Building x 1
  • Damage to Property x 1
  • Theft x 1
  • Drive Unlicensed x 1
  • Fail to Report a Crash x 1

Both the 18 and 19-year-old were remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

The 16-year-old was charged with:

  • Driving, Riding/Using Motor Vehicle Without Consent x 4
  • Theft x 2
  • Damage to Property x 2
  • Serious Breach of Bail x 1
  • Aggravated Burglary – Building x 1
  • Drive Unlicensed x 1
  • Fail to Report a Crash x 1

He was remanded and is expected to appear in court today.
