Police update: Fatal crash Whyalla Stuart, South Australia

A 20-year-old man has died in hospital following a crash in Whyalla Stuart earlier this month.

About 11.45am on Wednesday 8 July, police and emergency services were called to Jubilee Park after a Holden Commodore lost control and rolled into scrub.

A 20-year-old Whyalla Stuart man who had been a passenger in the car sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he sadly died of his injuries today.

An 11-year-old boy, also a passenger, sustained multiple limb injuries and was taken to the Whyalla Hospital for treatment.

A 12-year-old boy, believed to be the driver of the car, was treated for minor injuries.

Major Crash Investigators attended the scene at this time and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As a result of the young man’s death, Lives Lost on South Australian roads is now 55, compared to 65 at the same time last year.
