Police update: Fatal traffic crash and sudden death Tallebudgera

Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 36-year-old man was located deceased at Tallebudgera yesterday afternoon (October 21), following investigations into the death of his 47-year-old friend at Tallebudgera on Friday night (October 18).

Around 9.30pm on Friday, the 47-year-old Pimpama man was located deceased after his white 2015 Mercedes Benz C200 series sedan collided with a tree off Tallebudgera Creek Road.

Subsequent investigations indicate that he sustained a puncture wound to his chest, shortly before the crash. The cause of the puncture wound should be known following an autopsy today.

Around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon, the 36-year-old Coomera man was located deceased in bushland on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Tallebudgera Creek Road.

Investigations indicate that he sustained a significant head injury. The cause of this injury should be determined via an autopsy tomorrow.

Motorists have reported seeing an injured man walking along the side of Tallebudgera Creek Road around the time of Friday’s crash. Detectives are now appealing for anyone else who may have witnessed a person – or has dashcam footage – in the vicinity of Tallebudgera Creek Road from 9.00pm to 10.00pm on Friday October 18, to come forward.
