Police have charged a man over the arson of a real estate agency at a Jacobs Well address on 15 September.
Around 10.10pm, emergency services were called to the Pimpama Jacobs Well Road business following reports of a fire.
The fire was extinguished a short time later and police declared a crime scene.
The real estate agency sustained significant damage and no one was physically injured during the incident.
Subsequent investigations indicated that a man had attended the business with accelerant which was poured at the entrance of the premises and set alight.
Around 10pm last night, police arrested a man at a Hope Island hotel.
The 35-year-old Ormeau man was subsequently charged with one count of arson.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today, 17 September.
