Police update: Lamington fatal crash

Major Crash investigators have charged a 29-year-old woman in relation to a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday, 18 August 2020 in Lamington.

About 4.55pm, a blue Kia Rio and a maroon Holden Colorado collided at the intersection of Hare Street and Goldfields Highway. The Holden Colorado rolled as a result of the impact.

There were five occupants in the Holden Colorado, four adults and one baby. Three of the adults, including the driver received serious injuries and were conveyed to Kalgoorlie Hospital. The fourth adult, a 58-year-old woman from Menzies received critical injuries and died soon after in Kalgoorlie Hospital.

The 29-year-old driver of the Kia Rio was uninjured in the crash.

A 29-year-old woman from Kalgoorlie has been charged with Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death and she is due to appear before the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on 24 September 2020.
