Police update: Robbery in Eagleby, QLD

Police have charged two people after a stolen Maserati was intercepted at Loganholme last night, December 2.

It will be alleged at approximately 10.30pm, police observed the vehicle driving dangerously along Beenleigh Redland Bay Road.

With assistance from Polair, the car was tracked for a period of time before a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed along Burchill Street.

The Maserati continued traveling before being abandoned along Omaru Street, where the two alleged occupants left on foot.

An 18-year-old Daisy Hill woman was arrested nearby a short time later.

She has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises and commit indictable offence and two counts of receiving tainted property. She is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, December 4.

Police, including officers from the Dog Squad and Water Police, continued to track the alleged driver who was taken into custody near the Logan River around 12.30am, December 3.

The 21-year-old Loganholme man was transported to Logan Hospital with minor injuries.

He has been charged with one count each of robbery, unlicensed driving and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, December 4.

It will be alleged the vehicle was stolen from a Curlew Crescent property in Eagleby around 12.30am on December 2.
