Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a woman at Biggera Waters on the evening of 28 June.
Shortly before 8pm, emergency services were called to a residence on Loder Street in relation to a woman suffering life-threatening gunshot injuries.
A 23-year-old women from Biggera Waters, was declared deceased at the scene.
A 23-year-old man from Biggera Waters was arrested without incident.
He has since been charged with one count each of murder (domestic violence) and unlawful possession of weapons (category H) used to commit indictable offence (domestic violence).
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today, 29 June.
No other people were injured and there was no threat to the public.
Investigation remains ongoing.
