Police update: Wounding charges in Alexandra Hills, QLD

Police have charged two teenagers in relation to an alleged wounding incident that occurred in Alexandra Hills on December 12.

It will be alleged at approximately 6.10pm, an altercation occurred between a 49-year-old man and the two teenagers at a shopping centre near Cambridge Drive.

The two teenagers left the scene prior to police arrival and the 49-year-old was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following investigations by the Bayside Child Protection Investigation Unit, a 15-year-old boy was located at a Redland Bay address today.

He has been charged with one count each of unlawful wounding, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

He has been denied police bail and is expected to appear at Wynnum Children’s Court on December 15.

A 17-year-old man surrendered himself to police at Cleveland Police Station today and has been charged with one count each of unlawful wounding and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, as well as two counts of affray.

He has been denied police bail and is expected to appear at Cleveland Children’s Court on December 15.
