Pooraka Fire Investigated By Operation Eclipse

Operation Eclipse Detectives are investigating a suspicious fire at Pooraka this morning and are seeking help from the public.

Between 1.05am and 1.10am on Friday 3 July, two suspects wearing dark clothing and face coverings attended a group of shops located at the corner of Bridge Road and Lincoln Crescent.

Both suspects forced their way through the front door of the store and shortly after, the business was set alight completely destroying the structure with a damage estimate of about $1million.

At least one other business located in the complex was also impacted by the fire.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of the shopping complex at Bridge Road and Lincoln Crescent who witnessed a white Mitsubishi Triton Ute with an uncovered tray.

This vehicle was used by the suspects and driven into the carpark off Lincoln Crescent prior to the offence.

Early review of the CCTV shows several cars drive past the location while the suspects were on site.

Investigators are asking anyone who was driving on Bridge Road at Pooraka or nearby between the hours of 12.30am and 2.00am this morning, to review their dash cam or residential CCTV and contact police.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000. Information can be provided anonymously.
