A Port Macquarie man is stepping into spring with a little extra bounce after a Lucky Lotteries win delivered $102,000 on the same day his shoes gave out.
The New South Wales resident scored the 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11099 on Monday 7 September 2026. He also pocketed two consolation prizes of $1,000 boosting his total treasure to $102,000.
When we called to break the news, the winning man initially ignored the call before checking his app, contacting his wife and quickly ringing back.
“It’s unbelievable!” he said.
“Even when I opened the app, I didn’t quite believe it.
“It’s a good time because my shoes actually broke this morning so I need new ones.
“I rang my wife and I said ‘Look, I’m not sure what’s going on!’ and I sent her a screenshot and she said, ‘You better call them back and check it’s right!’.
“I’m so glad you’ve confirmed it now. I just can’t believe it.”
“Once we won $500 and even then, the newsagency said, ‘You’re more excited than a division one winner we had!’, so you can imagine how we’re feeling about $100,000.”
In addition to sporting a dazzling new pair of shoes, the kind hearted man shared he’d help family and donate money to charity.
“We’ll be able to help family and donate some to charity too. This is amazing,” he said.
“Gosh, I have to let it sink in now. Thank you!”
His winning entry of 10-consecutive numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
