Practical integrity systems insights

A series of webinars start next week for livestock producers, agents, transporters and saleyard staff across Australia to offer practical tips to ensure the $28 billion livestock industry can ‘stand by what it sells’.

The Stand By What You Sell Webinar Series is hosted by Integrity Systems Company in collaboration with agriculture departments, state farming organisations and extension networks in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, SA, NT and WA as well as national livestock sector membership and representative organisations.

ISC Communications Manager Kathleen Allan said despite all the challenges of late – drought, fires, floods and COVID-19 – the Australian livestock industry continues to get on with business.

“Now more than ever, it’s important we protect the reputation of our $28 billion red meat industry,” she said.

“Food safety, quality and traceability are a big deal for red meat consumers and our integrity system underpins these big selling points for Australian product, which in turn underpins the prices we receive for our stock.”

The webinar series is tailored for each audience, with discussion covering a selection of:

  • – changes to National Vendor Declarations
  • – how to start using the faster, easier new eNVD platform
  • – accreditation and audits for Livestock Production Assurance
  • – transfers and reconciliations for the National Livestock Identification System
  • – linking all accounts in one place using my MLA
  • – how the integrity system works with other compliance requirements, such as biosecurity, fit to load and work health and safety
  • – understanding the roles and responsibilities of agents and assessors in the integrity system
  • – Q&A with the Integrity Systems Company team.
