Baw Baw Shire Council’s Community Grants Program provides community groups and not-for-profit organisations with crucial funding to deliver much needed projects within the Shire. With Expressions of Interest for the Minor Capital Work grants stream set to open on Monday 1 May, community members are invited to make a pre-application appointment now to discuss their project ideas.

The pre-application appointments are an opportunity to receive Council Officer advice and assistance prior to submitting an Expression of Interest. They help to ensure that all criteria are met, and that applicants have a comprehensive understanding of what information is required before submitting.

During the application appointment, Council Officers will support applicants by asking questions, building on ideas that meet the purpose of the grant, improve the quality of applications, and ensure submitters have the best chance of success.

After the appointment, applicants will be emailed a link to the Expression of Interest portal which opens on Monday 1 May 2023.

The Minor Capital Work stream can grant eligible groups and projects with up to $10,000, which may be used towards projects like equipment installation, fencing, lighting upgrades, playing surface upgrades, kitchen upgrades, electronic scoreboards, painting, and more.
