Prohibited weapons seized during search at Wagga Wagga, NSW

Police have seized prohibited weapons during a search of a property in the Riverina overnight.

About 11pm (Wednesday 5 August 2021), officers attached to Riverina Police District conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) at a home on French Place, Tolland.

During the search, a Glock-style gel blaster, two zombie knives, cannabis and more than $14,000 in cash was located. The items were seized for forensic examination.

A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with possess unauthorised pistol and possess or use prohibited weapon without permit.

He was refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Thursday 5 August 2021).
