Seven community groups will share in over $23,000 to deliver projects with sustainability outcomes for the community.
Established in 2011, Council’s Community Sustainability Grant provides financial assistance for non-profit organisations to deliver educational and practical initiatives.
Community Sustainability Grant recipients:
- Cairns and District Beekeepers Association: $3,834
- Gordonvale Community Garden: $700
- Half Moon Bay Golf Club: $4,500
- Committee for Waste Reduction: $4,960
- Machans Beach State School P&C Association: $2,250
- C&K Balaclava Community Kindergarten: $2,564
- Manoora Community Garden (Auspiced by Launch Pad for Life Inc.): $4,353
