The Property Council of Australia has congratulated incoming NSW Premier the Hon Dominic Perrottet MP on his election as leader of the Liberal Party and has asked the incoming Premier for a housing led recovery out of COVID-19.
Property Council NSW Executive Director Luke Achterstraat said Mr Perrottet’s strong leadership in crisis cabinet has shown that he has the vision to lead us out of this pandemic.
“The NSW economy is the engine room of the country, and the skillset the incoming Premier brings from his time as Treasurer will be invaluable in the coming months and years,” Mr Achterstraat said.
“We look forward to the Premier focusing on strategies to increase the housing supply that NSW so desperately needs. Never has the need for housing and jobs been more important than during this pandemic, and a housing led recovery can bring jobs and homes to the state.
“With the Premier’s expertise and recognition of the contribution of the property industry, we anticipate he will lead our state forward to a new post-pandemic environment and look forward to working with his government.”
