Providing water for thirsty koalas

Saving our Species has been working closely with Port Macquarie Koala Hospital to deliver emergency water to bushfire and drought-affected koalas across northern NSW.

Saving our Species along with the with Port Macquarie Koala Hospital delivered 30 water stations in key locations across northern NSW to assist koalas affected by recent bushfires and drought.

There is very little food or water available for wildlife during times of drought and after, so our precious threatened species need a helping hand to survive.
Port Macquarie Koala Hospital funded and constructed 150 water stations, after fires burnt much of NSW koala habitat, killing large numbers and injuring many others.

By working together, we’re helping to ensure these iconic animals remain in the wild for generations to come.
