Police have revoked the declaration of an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) yesterday.
Emergency services were called to an Arnhem Street residence around 4pm yesterday after being alerted to a man threatening others.
He barricaded himself inside a residence before surrendering to police without incident at 2.30am this morning.
The 46-year-old has been transported to hospital to undergo an assessment. No one else was physically injured during the incident.
Ipswich police would like to thank the community surrounding the residence for their cooperation during the 10 hour operation.
