Public appeal: Hit and run traffic crash at Marsden, QLD

Police have released vision of a dark-blue vehicle as part of their investigation into a hit and run traffic crash at Marsden last night.

The vision shows the dark-blue vehicle – possibly a Mazda CX station-wagon – turn left onto Muchow Road from Kingston Road at 6.48pm (Sunday, November 17).

A few seconds later, a motorcycle follows the vehicle onto Muchow Road.

Around 6.53pm, the motorcycle was involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Chambers Flat Road and Hickory Street with a blue vehicle, possibly a Mazda CX station-wagon. The vehicle failed to stop following the crash.

CCTV shows the blue vehicle continue south along Chambers Flat Road before turning right onto Bumstead Road.

It is believed the station-wagon contained at least two people, including a front passenger.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old Browns Plains man, sustained serious injuries including fractures and was transported to hospital.

Investigators from the Springwood Forensic Crash Unit are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, has any knowledge of the blue vehicle – possibly a Mazda CX station-wagon – or may have relevant dash-camera vision, to come forward.
