Public appeal: Stolen vehicle in Loganholme, QLD

Police are appealing to the public for assistance to help locate a vehicle stolen from a Loganholme gym on September 25.

It will be alleged that around 6pm a woman gained entry to a gym located within a shopping complex using a stolen membership card.

The woman attended the gym’s bag-rack where it’s alleged she stole car-keys to a white 2017 Mitsubishi Tritton utility bearing Queensland registration plates “142 XWT” before stealing the ute.

Investigations lead officers to execute a search warrant at an address at Lynelle Street, Marsden, on September 29 where they arrested a 19-year-old woman who was subsequently charged with one count each of enter premises with intent, stealing and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She is scheduled to reappear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 11.

Subsequent investigations indicate the woman on-sold the vehicle to a man online on September 27. Around 3.40pm that day, the stolen ute was used to steal petrol from a service station on Kingston Road at Kingston.

Police are now appealing to anyone who sights this vehicle – or anyone who has any information in relation to the whereabouts of the vehicle – to come forward.
