Wellington Shire Council is committed to giving every local a say on the decisions and issues that matter to them. So they are reviewing their Community Engagement Strategy and are calling on community members to have their say on how future engagement should be undertaken.
The review gives Wellington residents and ratepayers a chance to assist in the creation of a draft community engagement strategy, aimed at improving the way Council informs, involves and consults with the people of Wellington.
It is about finding ways to improve engagement with community members and ensuring that views are heard in a timely and genuine way.
Council will aim to ensure that every resident is provided with the information needed to contribute and understands how feedback will be used. This will include community drop-in sessions, where locals can discuss the Community Engagement Strategy and Policy and its review.
