QPS LGBTI+ Support Network supports Global Pride online event

On Saturday, June 27, Global Pride took to the airwaves via live streaming technology and channels on Facebook and Youtube.

This was as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic having a devastating impact on Pride organisations worldwide with hundreds of marches and events being cancelled or postponed.

Global Pride provides an opportunity for the LGBTI+ community around the world to come together and celebrate diversity and equality during these challenging times.

The QPS LGBTI+ Support Network were fortunate to have been invited to participate in Global Pride and showcase our support internally and externally to our LGBTI+ colleagues and communities.

Our Support Network is extremely proud of our video entry showcased by Global Pride.

QPS is committed to ensuring policing services are accessible to all members of the community. Police work closely with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex plus (LGBTI+) communities to develop partnerships, awareness and understanding of impacting issues.
