QPS members across various divisions receive National-level awards

Minister for Education and Member for McConnel Grace Grace joined Commissioner Katarina Carroll at Queensland Police Service (QPS) Headquarters on Friday, July 21, to present prestigious national awards to 49 officers, including the National Police Service Medal and the National Medal and Clasps.

The National Police Service Medal, established in November 2010, signifies officers’ unwavering dedication and commitment to delivering ethical and diligent service.

Officers from all Australian police forces and services, who have served a minimum of 15 years, are eligible for this award.

The National Medal and Clasp, established in 1975, recognises long-standing service in organisations that safeguard life and property at some risk to their members.

These distinguished accolades are granted to eligible members who have completed a minimum of 15 years of qualifying service, with additional clasps bestowed at every 10-year milestone.
