Australian Quantum Vortex team who proved a 70-year-old theory of turbulence, potentially unlocking future quantum technologies, are finalists in 2020 Eureka Prizes – the nation’s top science awards. ‘Two dimensional’ vortices range from the flow of electrons in superconductors to cyclones, including Jupiter’s Great Spot.
