In collaboration with the Front Beach, Back Beach (FBBB) public art event, RACV Cape Schanck Resort will host the Art of Lunch on Friday 18 November. The lunch will feature presentations by artists Vera Möller, Lisa Waup, and James Geurts, who are exhibiting at FBBB.

The three-course lunch will include food and local wine by RACV’s award-winning chefs. Each course is inspired by the works of Vera, Lisa and James who will delve into their practice and the background of their FBBB projects.

FBBB is a series of exhibitions and experiences at 15 locations across the Mornington Peninsula from 4 to 27 November. The multi-site event will feature the work of 18 local and national artists/collectives responding to hidden and overlooked histories of national significance.

With a strong focus on creating new opportunities for community engagement, artists will work with targeted community groups and demographics in multiple ways, including research, co-production, participation and performance.

RACV Cape Schanck Resort Manager Dean Newell is looking forward to welcoming guests to the lunch and promoting the art community of the Mornington Peninsula.

“FBBB is a fantastic series of art events showcasing the best that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer,” Mr Newell said.

“RACV Cape Schanck Resort is delighted to welcome Vera, Lisa and James to present at our Art of Lunch event.”

“RACV has a long history of collaborating with Australian artists and is proud to be a partner of FBBB.

“If you are visiting the Mornington Peninsula during FBBB and would like to view the fabulous art collection here at the resort, enjoy a round of golf, or relax at One Spa, we have accommodation offers and packages available.”

Director of the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, Danny Lacy, says the lunch will be one of the highlights of FBBB.

“FBBB showcases some of Australia’s finest artists and collectives activating 15 sites across the Mornington Peninsula, situating public artworks within the breathtaking landscape of the Peninsula.

“The lunch at RACV will be a unique opportunity to meet and engage with Vera, Lisa and James and hear directly from the artists about the inspiration behind their artworks.

“The chefs at RACV Cape Schanck Resort are preparing a delicious locally inspired menu and wine selection, making the Art of Lunch an event not to be missed.”
