Thirteen local junior athletes received cheques from the Ray Harvey Sports Foundation, this was a part of round 1 of the Ray Harvey Sports Foundation’s 2023/24 application process.
The foundation in this round donated $3,000, which will assist these young athletes in attending representative sport training and events.
Before Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, members of the Ray Harvey Foundation Committee presented cheques to outstanding representative athletes. Many friends and family members attended the presentation.
Recipients in this round of applications included athletes competing in hockey, rugby 7’s, soccer, swimming, lawn bowls, and athletics.
The recipients were Ruby McIntosh (Hockey), Sid McPherson (Hockey), Claire Nichols (Hockey), Charlotte Owen (Hockey), Cameron Schultz (Hockey), Tegan Schultz (Hockey), Airlee Sheil (Hockey), Eamon Sheil (Hockey), Jordan Sturgiss (Lawn Bowls), Marli McKeller (Rugby 7’s), Holly Doggett (Soccer), Stella Rose Douglas (Swimming/Athletics), Jackson Schultz (swimming).
