Re-appeal to locate missing Merrylands man

Police are re-appealing for public assistance to locate a missing Merrylands man, believed to be in the Campsie area.

Thomas Hong, aged 47, was last seen at a home on Claremont Street, Merrylands, on Thursday 21 September 2023.

When he could not be located, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command have since been conducting inquiries into his whereabouts and believe he may be frequenting Beamish Street at Campsie.

Thomas is described as being of Asian appearance, about 170cm to 180cm tall, of a thin build with short black receding hair, and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a grey jacket with two black stripes running down the sleeves, long black pants, and green shoes.

Thomas is known to utilise the public transport system.

Anyone who sees Thomas or has any information of his whereabouts, is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
