Nominations are now open for the 2020 Snowy Monaro Youth Awards. The Youth Awards are an important opportunity to recognise the achievements of young people and celebrate the valuable contribution they make to the Snowy Monaro.
The award categories this year are:
• Academic Achievement
• Community Hero
• Resilience and Determination
• Excellence in Sport
• Industry Award
• Rural Achiever
• Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Media
• Leadership
• Community Project
To be eligible, the nominee must be aged between 12-24 and live, work or study in the Snowy Monaro local government area.
Finalists from each award category will be invited to attend an awards dinner in April as part of National Youth Week celebrations.
If you know a young person, or a group of young people doing making a difference in their community, please consider nominating them for a 2020 Snowy Monaro Youth Award. Applications close 5pm Friday 6 March.
