Recovery centre opens at Wisemans Ferry

The State’s 15th Recovery Centre will open in Wisemans Ferry today, providing face-to-face support for Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley locals affected by recent flooding.

Minister for Emergency Services and Resilience and Minister for Flood Recovery Steph Cooke said the Recovery Centre will assist the community transition from response into clean-up and recovery.

“Whether it’s replacing damaged documents, receiving help with the clean-up, registering for emergency accommodation or accessing mental health services, I encourage everyone to visit a Recovery Centre and find out what they are eligible for,” Ms Cooke said.

“The NSW Government is committed to making sure our flood-affected communities can clean up and rebuild stronger for the future.”

Member for the Hawkesbury Robyn Preston said the focus right now is on delivering as much practical support as possible.

“The Recovery Centre at Wisemans Ferry is open seven days a week making it easy for individuals, families, farmers and small business owners to access a range of services, support and advice,” Ms Preston said.
