Redeveloping Bennettswood Bowls Club pavilion for community

Liberal Party Victoria

Local community groups and schools will benefit under the Liberals and Nationals’ $250,000 commitment to redeveloping the Bennettswood Bowls Club pavilion.

The redevelopment will accommodate the club’s ambitious growth plans, engaging with more passionate locals across Box Hill than ever before.

Once completed, the club will be able to hire out the pavilion to the wider community as a function space. Organisations and events that will benefit from this includes local community groups, primary schools, high schools, VCE sports programs, weddings, awards nights, and charity events.

Shadow Member for Sport, Cindy McLeish, said the expansion will support a growing appetite for community and social sports.

“The pavilion’s redevelopment will offer a greater, well-equipped space for players to take advantage of, across social and competition events.”

Liberal Candidate for Box Hill, Nicole Tai-Ei Werner, said the pavilion would have broad benefits for the local community.

“The community will have access to this bigger and better space to host fundraisers, share stories and make memories and only a Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will deliver it.”
