Remembrance day 2021

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is once again honoured to assist the Dubbo RSL Sub Branch host Remembrance Day on 11 November 2021.

While COVID-19 restrictions have significantly eased across the state, Remembrance Day 2021 will still be delivered in accordance with the government’s COVIDSafe requirements. This means the public gathering in Victoria Park is only open to double-vaccinated people. Attendees to the event will be required to demonstrate proof of vaccination upon entry. For your safety and the safety of those attending Remembrance Day, QR code check-in is required.

Those attending are urged to use the hand sanitisation stations on site and observe social distancing practices where applicable. If you are feeling unwell or displaying flu-like symptoms on the day, you are respectfully asked to stay at home.

People are encouraged to join the event virtually with Council livestreaming Remembrance Day 2021. The livestream will start at 10:30am and can be viewed on Council’s website, as well as Council’s Facebook page.

Some special event road closures will be in place between 10:15am to 11:15am. These temporary special event road closures will affect:

• Darling Street and Wingewarra Street intersection from 10:15am

• Darling Street and Talbragar Street intersection from 10:15am

• Darling Street and Church Street intersection from 10:15am

Please follow all traffic control instructions during the event.

In the event of wet weather, Remembrance Day 2021 will be hosted in the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC). The public will be notified of the wet weather contingency by no later than 8:00am Thursday. The same COVIDSafe provisions apply to those attending the DRTCC in the event of wet weather. Masks will be required should the event be relocated indoors.
