Road and drainage works are set to begin at Commercial Rd, Mt Evelyn on Monday 17 April.
The works will take place from the Birmingham Road intersection to 17 Commercial Road, and are scheduled for completion by mid-June.
The upgrades will lead to better capture of water runoff from the road and also improve the direct flow of water into the existing stormwater network.
The works include:
- Underground drainage
- Concrete kerb and channel
- Asphalt resurfacing
Due to the nature of these works, it is likely that lengthy delays will be experienced along the impacted section of Commercial Road during construction, with electronic messaging signs in the area notifying the community of these works.
