Road Closure Updates – Severe weather – NSW East Coast

Northern NSW

Pacific Highway has opened from QLD border to Ballina. The highway remains closed from Ballina to South of Grafton. Only heavy vehicles servicing the areas north of Ballina including in and around Lismore and Byron Bay are being given access. All other heavy vehicles are asked not queue at Chinderah as this is making access for essential vehicles difficult.

The Gwydir Highway from Grafton to Glen Innes is opened.

Southern NSW

Princes Highway has been affected between Gerringong and Kiama.

Illawarra Highway is closed at Macquarie Pass.

Heavy Vehicle Inspection Stations

The Tweed Heads and Lismore Heavy Vehicle Inspection stations have been closed due to the ongoing weather event. These closures are impacting heavy vehicle registration inspections. To rebook your inspection, please visit our online portal call us on 1300 364 847 or visit a Service Centre.
