Tasmania Police responded to an incident involving two men on a bus in Rokeby about 12pm today.
It is alleged that one of the men produced a knife during an altercation between the pair and injured the other man before they both left the bus.
One man was taken to hospital and is receiving treatment for injuries that are not believed to be serious.
The two men are known to each other and there is no threat to the wider public.
Police have one man in custody and investigations are continuing.
